Case Study

Lakethorne was awarded a three year contract which was won through competitive tender in April 2017 for the provision of cleaning services to nine community healthcare facilities ranging from hospices, hospitals, GP clinics and dental surgeries.

Cleaning services range from scheduled daily cleaning, barrier and infection control cleans, dignity curtain replacement, scheduled deep cleans, carpet cleaning, hard floor maintenance and rapid
response/emergency cleans.

At the start of our contract, the Trust was somewhat wary of a new contractor due to previous experience of working with the outgoing cleaning company who were failing to meet the minimum standard expected by the Trust’s Infection Prevention team. The current team were familiar with the sites and keen to join the Lakethorne team to feel motivated again.

We have now reached a point where we are trusted to manage and deliver the entire Infection Program training ourselves. During this time, we invested in new training equipment and developed NHS-specific training slides and Infection Prevention slides in collaboration with the Infection Program team. Following on from the success of this contract award and mobilisation Lakethorne have been awarded approved
supplier status on the SBS framework.
