The German School is a school based at the Grade II* listed [2] building Douglas House in Petersham in the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.
It includes a kindergarten, pre-school, elementary school, middle school and upper school. The German School London is one of 140 schools abroad that the Federal Republic of Germany and the local school association has established to promote the German culture and language in other countries. Lakethorne provide daily cleaning and periodic/deep clean services throughout the year via 18 full/part time operatives. We also provide two full time caretakers and washroom services to site.
Case Study
Lakethorne group were awarded the cleaning contract through competitive tender in September 2016 and a subsequent retender in 2019. Lakethornes strategy during retender was to maintain our excellent working relationship with the facilities leadership team at The German School.
Our process within our formal tender response was to challenge the existing productivity and methodology by using member of the Lakethorne management team who had not had any exposure to the account during the past 3 years.
The teams challenge was to ensure we retained this top 5 customer, whilst being measured against some of the industry’s leading cleaning companies. The resulting Lakethorne response challenged productivity, reviewed new cleaning machinery, practices and processes giving the customer confidence that we were prepared to cast a critical eye at ourselves before submitting our final winning offer.
